At VeroLingua we do not really teach the language, we train our learners to speak it and facilitate the experience. Here are five main reasons why we don’t call ourselves teachers, but trainers:

Teachers translate while trainers use the target language
Teachers use textbooks while trainers encourage students to speak the language
Teachers talk about the language while trainers help students experience it
Teachers occasionally test while trainers identify errors as they occur
Teachers start at the beginning while trainers build on existing knowledge

Not only are we experienced language trainers and curriculum designers, but we’re also polyglots with the most curious biographies, living in different parts of the world who have gone through the process of learning and mastering a second language (or several!) ourselves.
